FAQ’s: Q: What does the trustee do for my Chapter 13 case?  A: The trustee is assigned to you by the bankruptcy courts to administer your financial debts included in your bankruptcy by disbursing your payments to your creditors on a monthly basis. Q: When is my first payment due? A: First payments are due 30 days from the filing date. Your payment will be due on the same day every month for the duration of your plan . Q: How often will I receive a statement or periodic report for my case? A: Periodic reports will be mailed annually. Reports can be requested at any time by e- mail or by calling our office 312-294-5900. Request Periodic  Q: What is the payoff amount for my Chapter 13 case? A: If you would like to pay off your Chapter 13, you will have to submit a request to the trustee’s office by mail, email or fax. The request form can be downloaded from our forms tab.
